Information we handle

Plans and customer details

Measurements, cutting plans, saved arrangements, drafts, customer details, worksheet branding and settings are stored locally on your device. The current planning workflow does not upload these records to a FloorIQ cloud backup or synchronise them between devices. Signing in or restoring Pro does not back up or transfer your plans. Your device’s own backup services and settings are separate.

You choose which customer names, addresses, phone numbers and other details to record, and who receives them. The fitter or business recording those details is responsible for its own use of that information. We cannot retrieve those local records remotely. We receive them only if you choose to send them to us, for example in a support email.

Purchases and Pro access

Apple handles billing. RevenueCat helps FloorIQ validate purchases and determine access. This uses purchase and renewal records, product and transaction identifiers, subscription status, expiry dates, an app user identifier, and technical information such as app/platform versions, locale and currency. We do not receive your payment-card number. RevenueCat also provides subscription reporting.

Optional sign-in

You can make an Apple purchase without creating a separate FloorIQ identity. If you choose Sign in with Apple, Apple supplies an identifier and, when available, your name and email or private-relay address. Supabase stores your identity and login/session information. The account service creates a Support ID and links your identity to the subscription identifier used by RevenueCat.

The service records complimentary-access grants, dates, status and administrative changes. This association can link purchase information to your FloorIQ identity. Authorised administration uses these records to provide and manage access.

Support and technical information

If you email us, we receive your email address, message and any attachments or other details you supply. Please leave out customer information that is not needed to investigate the problem, and never send passwords, verification codes or payment-card details.

Our hosting, account and subscription providers process connection and security information, including IP addresses, request timestamps and technical error/request records, to deliver and protect their services.

Photos, maps and sharing

You choose a photo or file when adding a worksheet logo. FloorIQ uses the selected image for local branding and exported sheets; it does not upload your photo library to our account service. Printing, saving or sharing a worksheet sends its contents to the destination you select. Opening an address in a maps app passes that address to that service. Those recipients apply their own privacy policies.

This website

These pages have no account form, advertising integration or analytics added by FloorIQ. The hosting platform and its infrastructure process requests and security information to serve and protect the pages. Clicking Email support opens your email app; a message reaches us only when you send it.

Why we use it

  • Providing the service and answering requests: account and subscription information enables access checks, restoration and complimentary access. Support information helps us answer enquiries. Where necessary to provide an agreement with you or take requested steps before it, the legal basis is performance of a contract.
  • Security and service administration: access records, technical logs and administrative history help us prevent misuse, investigate errors and resolve disputes. Subscription reporting helps us understand the performance of the service. We rely on legitimate interests in operating a secure, dependable business, balanced against your rights. General enquiries unrelated to a contract are also handled on this basis.
  • Legal requirements: where a law requires information to be retained or disclosed, for example applicable tax or accounting records or a valid legal request, we rely on that legal obligation.

FloorIQ does not sell personal information or use advertising-tracking SDKs. Access checks automatically assess subscription or complimentary-access status. If you believe access has been wrongly refused, contact us so a person can investigate.

Providers and international processing

Information is shared with providers only as needed for the services described here:

  • Apple: App Store transactions and optional Apple sign-in. See Apple’s privacy information.
  • RevenueCat, Inc.: subscription validation, access information and purchase reporting. See its privacy policy and data processing terms.
  • Supabase, Inc.: hosting of the optional identity, access and administration services. See its privacy policy and data processing terms.
  • Google: Gmail for support correspondence. See Google’s privacy policy.
  • OpenAI / ChatGPT Sites and hosting infrastructure including Cloudflare: delivery and security of this website. See the Sites data processing terms, OpenAI privacy policy and Cloudflare privacy policy.

These providers and their subprocessors operate internationally, including in the UK, European Economic Area and United States. Information is not guaranteed to remain solely in the UK. Their published terms describe the safeguards for relevant transfers, including adequacy arrangements and contractual safeguards such as standard contractual clauses and the UK Addendum where applicable. Contact us for details of the arrangements relevant to your information or to request a copy of applicable safeguards.

We may also disclose information where required by law or reasonably needed to protect legal rights. If responsibility for FloorIQ changes, we will explain any material change in who handles your information.

Retention and deletion

Local records: your plans remain in device storage until you remove them through supported local actions or the app/device storage is removed. Signing out, losing Pro or deleting an online account does not deliberately erase them. Planner and export access require active Pro, so keep separate copies of worksheets you need. Device loss or reinstalling the app may make local work unavailable.

Online identity and access records: we retain them while needed to operate your account and access. Use Delete account in the FloorIQ Pro screen, or contact us for help. The account-deletion flow removes your Supabase identity and associated complimentary-access record and revokes Apple sign-in authorisation. It does not cancel an Apple subscription or automatically erase RevenueCat transaction records.

Purchase, audit and support records: retention depends on whether they are still needed to administer transactions, handle a current enquiry, resolve disputes, protect account security or meet an applicable legal requirement. There is no fixed automatic deletion schedule for every category. Administrative audit entries can remain after account deletion with direct account references removed; other audit fields may still contain identifying information. Contact us to request review or erasure of records we hold.

Provider logs and backups: providers apply their own service retention and backup cycles; deleting an active record does not necessarily remove all copies immediately. When handling a valid deletion request, we will address information under our control and involve relevant processors where necessary. Apple and other providers may independently retain transaction, security or legally required records under their policies. We will explain any relevant restriction on a request.

Your choices and rights

Optional Apple sign-in is needed for account-bound complimentary access, but not for an anonymous Apple purchase. Necessary purchase/access information is required to verify Pro. You choose whether to share worksheets or contact support, and you can manage Photos permissions in iPhone settings.

Depending on the circumstances, you can ask for access to, correction or deletion of personal information, restriction of its use, or a portable copy. You can object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where processing relies on consent, you can withdraw it without affecting earlier lawful processing.

Contact flooriqapp@gmail.com. We may need proportionate information to confirm your identity. Rights have legal limits; we will explain any that apply. You can complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office. For details stored only on a fitter’s device, contact that fitter or business.

Changes to this policy

The effective date above identifies this version. We will update this page when our practices change and give appropriate notice of material changes. If FloorIQ later becomes a company, we will identify the responsible operator and explain any material change to data handling.
